Sculpture Of Mendele Mocher Sforim By Abraham Eisenberg 1879-1956.
A rare and wonderful placque of the most important literary figure Mendele Mocher Sforim by the fine Polish Jewish sculptor Abraham Eisenberg (1879-1956). Eisenberg was known for his sculptures of important Polish Jews.
The plaster composition with bronze patina sculpture measures approximately 11" x 8-3/4". It is inscribed in Hebrew with Sforim`s name and his dates 1836-1917 Mendele Moicher Sforim was known as the Grandfather of Yiddish literature.
It is signed on the lower center edge with the copyright sign and A. Eisenberg 1936.
